• Glasmanufaktur

It’s a hot story – the evolution of glass art in the Black Forest. The history can be dated back to the 12th century; generally, glassblowers lived and worked in places were the main ingredients for glass production (wood, silica sand, potash made of beech, and water) could be found. That’s what made the “Schwarzwald,“ with ist dense forests and many rivers, an attractive place for the artisans. Today, with a combination of bygone craftsmanship and modern technology, the GlasManufaktur aims to revive this age-old Black Forest tradition and offers a wide variety of glass articles from well-known German and international manufacturers. Besides that, the highlight is the possibility of watching our glass artists at work, shaping molten glass at temperatures of 2190°F and creating our own brand STERNEN GLAS (decoration & jewelry). Should you not have the opportunity to visit us in the Black Forest, many of our glass products are available here in our online shop!
